The United Way of Fostoria is accepting applications for 2021 Community Impact Grants through May 28. Impact Grants support a variety of programs for people who live and/or work in Fostoria in the fields of education, basic human needs, physical and mental health, and income stability.
Applications should address a significant need in Fostoria. Funds are available for startup projects, to expand existing successful programs and/or to meet unmet needs in the community. Grants addressing UWF target issues of affordable housing, homelessness, free store or equivalent, preventive education for domestic violence, and childhood and community literacy are of particular interest.
Community Impact Grants have been instrumental in starting the Fostoria Farmers Market, the 1000 Books by Kindergarten at Kaubisch Memorial Public Library, the Fostoria Learning Center and the Handyman Fund at St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Grant application forms are available on the United Way of Fostoria website, by contacting the office at 419-435-4484 or emailing tsheridan-uwfostoria@midohio.twcbc.com.
