The United Way of Fostoria, Ohio, is a charitable organization created by the citizens of Fostoria to enrich the quality of life for individuals and families in Fostoria. UWF Grants support a variety of programs for people who live and/or work in Fostoria in the fields of education, basic human needs, physical and mental health, and income stability.
Grants are awarded to nonprofit, charitable organizations which have been designated as having tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code and are in good standing with the State of Ohio.
Grants are awarded to projects for startup funds for new services or to expand an existing successful service or to meet an emerging need in the community.
Funds for Community Grants are from an annual distribution of a foundation that supports the United Way of Fostoria. At their April meeting, the UWF Board of Trustees will determine how much money, if any, is available for grants. This year’s deadline for fully completed grant applications is May 15, 2020.
No campaign donations are used for grants or any other purpose except to fund the Agency Partners.
